Terms Of Sale

Our terms are net 30 days from date of invoice to those customers who have established credit with us. Past due accounts are subject to a service charge of 1½% added on monthly (annual rate of 18%). For those customers who do not have credit established, we accept checks, visa/mc, or cash. We reserve the right to require pre-payment and/ or a deposit. For customers to establish credit with us, we require completion of our credit application 30 days prior to shipment or pick up. All checks returned by the bank for insufficient funds will be charged a $25.00 service charge.
Returns
Cascadian Nurseries takes pride in the plant material we grow and sell. If you are dissatisfied with the quality of a plant upon delivery, please leave it on the delivery truck. We will provide an immediate credit for that item or remove it from the invoice.
Cascadian Nurseries is not responsible for any damage to or mortality of plants due to factors beyond our control, such as the planting site, manner of installation, or plant maintenance.
Once plant material has left our nursery, damaged, or dried out plant material cannot be returned. To expedite the process, a copy of the original invoice must be presented at time of return.
All qualifying return stock must be healthy and undamaged, in the original containers, within 7 days from date of purchase. Any claims must be reported in writing within 7 days. No plants will be considered for return after 7 days from date of purchase. We reserve the right to not accept returned plants.
We do not accept returns of annual color, 3.5″ – 4″ or quart size plants, including ground covers and perennials, or any plant that has been planted.
We do not accept returns of ground covers, annual color, any plants that had been planted, or special order items. If cancelled or returned, these items will be subject to a 100% restocking fee.
Special orders of plant material not commonly used, or in large quantities, cannot be returned if Cascadian Nurseries will be unable to sell the plant material within 30 days. This includes:

- Perennials
-
- Native plants
-
- Grasses

- Ground covers
Restocking Fees
Unless the plant is damaged by us, of unsuitable quality, or sent in error, all items returned are subject to a restocking fee of 25% to 100% of the purchase price.
Over-ordered quantities of plant material in accordance with quotes, written plant or purchase orders or purchased overages are subject to a restocking fee. As an ongoing courtesy to our customers, Cascadian Nurseries will make every effort to work with you to resell excess purchased plants that are a result of overestimates during the design/estimating phase of your project, as well as those resulting from unanticipated changes in plant quantities at job sites.
Liability
We assume no liability for plants after they have been accepted by the customer. Cascadian Nurseries is not liable for more than the invoice value at the time of purchase.
Cancellations
Basic stock plants that are canceled after being pulled are subject to a 50% restocking fee. Brokered plant material canceled after having been purchased to fulfill a customer’s order is subject to a 100% restocking fee.
Compliance With American Standard For Nursery Stock
Our nursery makes every effort to sell nursery stock, which complies with the standards found in the most recent edition of the American Standard for Nursery Stock (ANSI Z60.1), published by the American Nursery & Landscape Association (the “Standard”).
Discounts
Discounts are available based on quantity or total yearly purchases. Volume discounts are based on total yearly purchases and do not qualify for quantity discounts. Overdue accounts do not qualify for discounts.

Some items are at net pricing with no further discounts.
Quantity discounts apply only if the following conditions are met: All plants must be of same variety.

Deposits
A 50% deposit is required before digging of trees or shrubs and may be required to reserve orders. If any cancellation after material is dug, this deposit will apply for restocking charge and loss of growth during the first year. Orders for summer shipping require a 50% deposit to hold the material and an additional 15% charge to cover our costs for healing in or potting.
Minimum Quantities
We do not require minimum quantities except on the following sizes:
2 ¼” Pot Sold by full flats only.
3.5” Pot Annuals/Perennials – sold by full flat only.
Claims/Warranty
We warrant all nursery stock to be true to name and warrant the purchase price only. Any unsatisfactory stock or shortages must be reported immediately. We guarantee all nursery stock we sell to be in good condition when shipped. We offer no guarantee as to the hardiness, growth or performance of any stock we sell, since we have no control over its handling or care after it leaves our nursery, nor the weather conditions to which it may be subject. We do not guarantee plants to live after being accepted in good condition and at no time will Cascadian Nurseries be responsible for more than the purchase price. Any shortages, or plant material damaged in transit, must be reported on the bill of lading and submitted to the carrier immediately. All claims must be made in writing within seven (7) days of receipt of goods.
Preliminary Lien Notice & Material Release
For the benefit of the contractor and Cascadian Nurseries, Inc. we will request a job name and address on all orders over $500.00 before loading or delivery on all charge accounts. A material release will be issued upon request with completed payment of account.
